Outfit of the Day

I haven’t written an outfit of the day post in a bit so I thought I’d share with you what I’m wearing today! I’m a little exhausted from running around lately so for work today, I wanted something cute and comfortable.

My denim jacket is from American Eagle. It’s such a comfy jacket. I wear it on flights, to work and whenever I want to dress up a tee. Unfortunately, they don’t have my exact jacket in stock anymore ๐Ÿ™

My white t-shirt is from American Eagle as well. If you haven’t tried their Soft & Sexy v-neck t-shirts, you’re missing out! You can get the white one by clicking here (it’s on sale right now!)

I got these gorgeous polka-dotted dress pants from my Stitch Fix box. They’re made by Tinsel and they’re the comfiest pants! I get lots of compliments on them when I wear them. Try Stitch Fix and get your first fix free when you click here!

Last but not least, my shoes. One of my favorite things from my childhood were the black platform shoes. They’re iconic. Steve Madden brought them back and the second I heard it, I had to have them. My co-workers call them my Lizzie McGuire shoes. It’s about a 50/50 on people who like them and people who hate them but I don’t need the haters! You can get your very own pair from Steve Madden here. I promise you’ll love them.

What are you wearing today?

xoxo

Outfit of the Day

This outfit has you looking comfy yet dressed up and cute.

The top is from Papermoon and it came in my Stitch Fix box (start your fix for free here). The sleeves and hem are scalloped and I’m a sucker for scallops! It’s a bright cobalt blue and I had to have it because I don’t own this color at all. I don’t know what I’ve been doing with my life.

My necklace is from Made by Mary. If you haven’t looked at their jewelry, you HAVE to. My sister got me their Zola Disc Necklace for my birthday last year and it’s rare if I don’t wear it. It has my name engraved on it and it’s so cute. We loved it so much, we got my mom one for her birthday this year and my sister got one too. Now we all match ๐Ÿ™‚

My pants are light gray moto jeggings. I’ve always been a big fan of moto jeggings because I feel like they can make an outfit look different than a pair of colored jeans. I got these a few years ago from a local boutique but I found them online at Limelush for those of you who want a pair now!

The sandals are from Target a couple years ago. I wear these with so many outfits, I’m about to wear them out. Steph and I have the same pair and we love them! You can pair any tan or cognac brown sandal with this outfit & it would look great.

What do you think?

What’s Really in my Bag?

I had an idea to do a post on what I carry in my bag and luckily for you guys, this wasn’t planned at all. I got the idea today when I was already at work so you could really see what I keep in there.

Since it’s summer, I’ve been carrying around this Kate Spade crossbody and it’s served me well. I paired this bag up with my last outfit of the day featured here. I got this bag in my Stitch Fix box (start your fix for free here) but you can also get it from Macy’s here.

This is everything I have in my bag at the moment! Just the essentials, obviously ๐Ÿ˜‰ Besides the sunnies, makeup mirror, keys, and hair ties (absolutely necessary in the Utah heat), here’s a blurb about the other important things.

You might recognize this wallet from our ode to Kate Spade post but I got this one from the surprise sale earlier this year. I haven’t been able to find it again but you can always shop her wallets on her website here.

I think Steph talked about a Lanolips ointment in her top 10 beauty products post but this one is a little different. This one literally smells like lemons and it completely soothes dry lips. I always have dry lips so I have to keep something around. I’ve been using this one for a bit and it’s great. I bought mine from Anthropologie when I was in store but you can get it on their website here.

Last night, I gave myself a pretty nice pedicure; everything but the polish. So I picked this Cute as a Button color because I love bright toes in the summer and threw it in my purse to paint real quick. You can get this color wherever Essie colors are sold but just in case you’re not sure, you can get it online at Target here.

Last but not least, this is my newest Kylie Cosmetics lipstick. This one is Bunny and it’s part of Khloe Kardashian’s collection with her sister’s line. It’s such a pretty color! It’s like a lavender mauve. You can get it here.

I’m glad my purse was pretty clean because normally, I have receipts everywhere and random candy like an 80-year-old. What do you have in your bag?

Michelle’s Favorite Stitch Fix Tops

At the end of April, I was in a little bit of a bind. Your girl here LOVES to shop but all my favorite boutiques had been selling clothes that were definitely not my style (and there’s still no end in sight). I went to the mall, I looked at clothing websites I wouldn’t normally shop at, etc. NOTHING.

Finally, I started looking into clothing subscription services. Stitch Fix was the most popular one and had pretty decent prices so I figured I may as well try it. Let me tell you all… I have had such a fun time with it!

You have to fill out a style questionnaire at the beginning where they ask you all kinds of questions regarding what stores you normally shop at, your sizes, what styles/patterns you’re interested in, and how much you’d like to spend per item.

One thing I will stress is that you need to link up your style board on Pinterest and keep updating it regularly. This isย super important because your stylist will get a lot of her ideas on pieces to send you from this board. My sister and I both signed up at the same time but she didn’t link up her Pinterest board so when her first fix arrived, they had totally missed the mark.

When I received my first fix, I was in LOVE. I kept all 5 pieces! I’ve been hooked ever since and have gotten about 5 so far. I don’t always keep everything but as of late, there hasn’t been a package where I haven’t kept at leastย one thing.

I wanted to share with you guys my favorite tops from my fixes and promise to keep you updated on all my fixes to come!

This first top is the Jazelle Ruffle Sleeve blouse from Daniel Rainn. I love this top! It’s so classy, especially with the detail work at the neck. I wear this a lot to work.

This is the Havana halter top from Alice Blue. This is a cute spring/summer top that I like to pair with a cardigan, specifically olive green or beige.

Stitch Fix got me hooked on Lush tops!! This is the Devon Knot Front top by Lush and it is such a cute piece for the summer. I loved this one so much, I begged my stylist for another one.

After I begged her, she sent me the Rhodes tank blouse by Lush and I fell in love all over again. These tops are so super cute! I wear them with cardigans or jackets to work and I wear them on their own for date nights or just to hang out. Here’s to hoping they send me more!

In my most recent box, they sent me the Tinkham Open Kimono by Kaileigh. This kimono is so light and cute. You can wear it with a cute solid tank underneath and a pair of white shorts.

I’ve been ranting & raving about Stitch Fix to all my gal pals and I’ll tell you the same thing! It’s definitely worth it because you will find random pieces that you never knew existed and now you can’t live without.

If you want to try it, use my link by clicking here and you’ll get your first $20 styling fee waived! Now’s the perfect time to try it ๐Ÿ™‚
