Snacks I Always Have Stashed

I don’t know about you guys but I’m big on snacking. I always keep snacks in my drawers at work and, of course, in the pantry at home. Because I tend to be more snacky, I need to make sure that it’s not always junk food… otherwise, I would be in big trouble. I’m sharing my faves with you today!

Sparkling ICE Drinks

My friend Ally got me hooked on these when she was getting me to eat healthier. I don’t drink soda and I typically prefer water over everything but whenever I’m craving a different flavor, I choose these. They are so delicious and come in a variety of flavors. I love them with some ice and it usually accompanies meals very well. The sparkling water gives you the carbonation you’re probably missing from your soda but you don’t have to feel guilty about these. The Classic Lemonade flavor is my favorite but I’ve recently gotten into Strawberry Watermelon and Peach Nectarine. I drink water at work but I’ll keep a couple of these in my drawers in case I’m craving something else.

Quaker Popped Rice Crisps

I am obsessed with these. I prefer these over chips any day but you definitely have to like the taste of rice cakes. These ones are dusted with cheddar cheese so it’s a win for me but they have other flavors. I can’t claim they’re overly healthy but they’re definitely better than potato chips. I’m big on snacking on crunchy foods so this helps.

Rold Gold Pretzels

Pretzels are a must. A bag of these will last me a while because I can get full on just a few. These are perfect for those days you’re feeling snacky but don’t want to down 8 bags of chips. Another great version of their pretzels are their Cheddar Tiny Twists. MMM.

Pop Secret 94% Fat-Free Butter

Image result for pop secret 94 fat free

A lot of people wonder why I won’t just go for the movie theater butter but tbh, the extra butter on microwave popcorn (and sadly, the butter on movie theater popcorn) makes me sick due to an unfortunate experience I had as a child. Anyway, my stomach is too sensitive to those oils so this is the next best thing! I feel like this popcorn still has enough of the butter flavor to keep me happy and content. Popcorn is a big go-to for me when I need a quick sad that I don’t want to feel bad about. I always keep boxes of this at home and at work (and even at Cody’s).

Wonderful Pistachios

Nuts are a great thing to snack on too because they will make you feel full in a healthier way. Pistachios have the added benefit of giving you something to do (e.g., cracking open the shell) while you munch on them so it keeps my hands busy. I like to snack on these if I’m watching TV or if I’m a little anxious to give myself something to focus on.

Yoplait Go-Gurt

Image result for go gurt

Yes, I’m 25 and yes, I’m still eating Go-Gurt ๐Ÿ™‚ I love these because if I’m in a hurry (AKA I woke up late for work yet again), I grab one of these and eat it on the way to work. Maybe I will switch to the adult versions of Go-Gurts in the future but where’s the fun in that?

Image result for fruit

I love fruit so much. I could always snack on it. My favorites are raspberries, strawberries, green grapes, green apples, clementines or Cuties, watermelon, and mangoes. Of course, the last two require some preparation but it’s all wonderfully delicious and gives you that sugar kick you need without processed sugar.

Lay’s Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips

Image result for lays sour cream and cheddar

These are obviously not healthy but I’ve been a little addicted to these lately! They are just so crispy and crunchy with the cheddar and sour cream flavor. I think about them all the time but I think that’s just a personal problem I have.

I tend to crave salty over sweet (s/o to me being the Salt of Salt + Sugar) so I’m sure you can tell that from the types of snacks I eat. I will say, it’s always nice to keep a little candy in my drawers too when that sugar craving kicks in but for the most part, you can win me over with any of the things I mentioned.

What do you like to snack on?

Desk Decor

Steph and I work at an office building where everyone has cubicles but being the cutesy and organized type-A personalities we are, it’s just another little home to decorate.

I hate having papers everywhere because it will literally distract me from any work I need to do. I’ll be typing away furiously and I’ll catch some loose papers out of the corner of my eye and all my concentration goes out the window. You may be the same kind of person so I decided to show you all my cubicle and where to get all the neat stuff that will help you organize your desk in the cutest way possible.

Even if you don’t work at an office building, these items will look great in a home office as well ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my cubicle! This is my home away from home. As you can see, I’ve got a few things to make it cute and comfy.

This tufted chair from Target is my favorite! When people come to visit me at my desk, I like to have a place for them to sit and hang out. A lot of you are probably like, ‘Why would you want your coworkers to hang around your desk? I hate mine’. But I lucked out working at a place where the people are pretty cool. I found this chair in the Target’s furniture clearance section about a year ago so I don’t think they have this exact one but check out their chairs here.

Target has the cutest chairs!

The solid pale pink pillow is from Target as well and is so velvety soft, everyone wants to steal it. The cute ‘hello’ pillow is from my friend Morgan (HI MORGAN!) who moved to Nashville for a rockstar life and left us behind. JK Morgan, love you!

Throw Pillows

Check out Target’s super cute collection of throw pillows here.

My calendar is from Rifle Paper Co. and if you don’t know about them yet, you should. I’m in love with everything Anna Bond does. Every year, I buy their appointment calendar and it’s gorgeous. You can get 2019’s calendar by clicking on the picture below ๐Ÿ™‚ They also have smaller versions of their calendars that have maps of the world, inspirational quotes, lemons, and more!

If you haven’t noticed yet, I definitely have a gold/pale pink theme going on. I used to hate pink growing up but I fell in love with the pale pink color and now I’m obsessed.

Having lights around my desk makes me feel happier. It’s the twinkle I feel I deserve. I got these lights from Amazon hereย for $11. I got some twine and clothespins from my friend Ally who is also super obsessed with desk decor and hung up some Polaroid-sized pictures. I like to print these out from an awesome place called Social Print Studio. You can get 24 of these square prints for $12. They’re such a good size that I printed some out for my room and hung them up there as well. Check them out by clicking their logo below!

The monitor stand (that I don’t use for my monitor) is from Target. I tried to find it online but it doesn’t look like it’s on their website. I’m pretty sure I saw it in store still though!

I bought my pretty scissors from Anthropologie. They are $16 and you can get them on their website by clicking the picture below ๐Ÿ™‚Slide View: 1: Rose Scissors

My letterboard is from Felt Like Sharing on Amazon. You can get your own here. They have so many cute colors you can choose from depending on what your color scheme is. I could really go for some cake right now.

My stapler was a gift from my friend Kaylyn and I love it! I’m just a sucker for gold things. I found it at Target and attached the link to the picture below.

I got the drawers from Target as well (Target for the win) and my friend Ally loved it so much that she bought one of her own. You can get it from their website here. It’s a great place to keep things nearby while maintaining the aesthetic.

I also keep an exercise ball (the yellow, spiky thing in the bottom left corner) at my desk for those days that I can’t keep sitting in a desk chair. It also is a great distraction for me during conference calls ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a mug and bowl set from Target that I love. I like having it so I’m not buying paper cups or paper bowls. Help out the environment, people.

I just recently bought this agenda from Anthropologie. It comes with a cute gold pen with black ink but I wanted a little more color so I chose a purple pen instead. You can get this planner from their website here.

That cute, hand-drawn picture of me with a large fry above the agenda was made by my friend Emily. She is so talented!! And she accurately captured my love for french fries.

You know how I hate loose papers? I decided to conquer this by getting a letter tray. I bought this little baby from Amazon and you can get yours here.

Pictures really make your area feel homey and remind you of all the people you get to hang out with after work so it’s perfect. That note on the left that looks like a small, pink notebook is from Rifle Paper Co. as well! You can get it for $8 on their website here.

I hope this helped you get started on decorating your office space. It’s so important to make sure that your workspace is somewhere you want to be! Otherwise, you’re going to dread every single moment. (Although let’s be real, most of us dread every single moment of work).

If you have any other ideas for decorating your space or just want to share them with us, comment below! We’d love to see it!

Outfit of the Day

Here’s today’s work outfit in case you need an idea for a comfortable but cute ensemble.

My top is a new find from Zara. They’re currently having a big sale, btw. Check it out here.

The bottoms are super soft and comfy ankle dress pants from LOFT. Steph is actually the one that got me straight up hooked on LOFT and now most of our work clothes are from there. Unfortunately, they don’t sell my exact pair anymore but they still have tons of great dress pants so shop their store here.

I bought these super cute shoes at Downeast. I used to not like these but then I tried them on & my sister convinced me to get them. You can get them here.

I paired the outfit with a cute Kate Spade crossbody that I got in one of my Stitch Fix boxes (click here to join Stitch Fix and get your first box free!). They know me so well, they threw in Kate Spade stuff.

Finally, I paired it with the black version of the earrings I posted about in my Earring Obsession post! You can get these babies (and other gorge earrings) from Bohme Boutique. (Don’t mind my triangle lanyard for my work badge)

What do you think?

Lipstick Love

First off, I just wanted to start out by saying I’m sorry we’ve been MIA this last week. It has been a crazy week of changes for Steph and I at work but I’m happy to report that I’m starting a new position as of tomorrow! Change is always good, even though I was sad to close that last chapter.

However, I’m here to talk about one of my favorite things ever. LIPSTICKS!

I didn’t start getting into lipsticks until after high school but once I did, I was hooked. I have a bigger collection of lipsticks than I would like to admit but I’m going to show you what my top 5 are right now.

First and foremost, you should always prime your lips before you put lipstick on, especially matte lip glosses because it dries out your lips. I usually use a chapstick before I put mine on but when I’m being a good girl, I use the MAC Prep + Prime Lip.

You can get this great primer from Ulta here.

My first two faves are from the Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick collection by Smashbox. The pretty red at the top is Bang Bang and is my go-to red lipstick. The color is so pretty and deep. The thing about red lipstick is it goes with almost everything. Black/dark colors? Yes. White/tan/beige? Yes. The poppin’ pink on the bottom is Shockaholic. I absolutely love this one because it always makes me feel like spring. I love pairing this baby with dark blues and whites.

Shockaholic and Bang Bang are both available at Ulta!

My last three favorites are all Kylie Lip Kits. I’ve got to hand it to her, they’re freaking great lipsticks. Regardless of what you think of her, you have to try these out.

This is Posie K. It was my very first lipstick from her brand and I’m still in love with it. I bring this around with me all the time because it’s such a classy color and honestly goes with everything (give or take a few colors). I love the dusty mauve colors and this one is perfect. I will definitely be re-ordering this baby once it’s gone.

I LOVE dark lipsticks. Anything around this color (even the deeper purples) and you’ve got me hooked. This is one of my newest Kylie purchases called Clove. I wore it out for the first time this weekend at a carnival with my boyfriend and I was in love. The best thing about dark lipsticks is that it goes well with dark clothing and if you know me, you know that’s my favorite color range.

Processed with VSCO with c3 preset

The lipstick is cute but he’s cuter.

Processed with VSCO with c3 preset

The last one is Show Off, which is also a new purchase! It’s a bright, light coral pink and it’s so cute!! This is definite spring/summer lipstick and it’s perfect for white clothing and lighter colors. I can’t wait to play around with this one more!

Processed with VSCO with c3 preset

You can get Posie K, Show Off and Clove from Kylie’s website exclusively. Some are available with the lipstick only but I think Show Off and Clove are only available as a lip kit with the lip liner.

Don’t be afraid to try new colors. Remember that lipstick always looks different on than it does in the tube AND that it looks different on different people, especially different skin tones. In conclusion, you’re going to have a blast trying them on. Worst case scenario, you don’t like it and you can send them to me ๐Ÿ™‚

Let me know what your favorite lipsticks are (especially the matte ones because those were meant for me)!
